At LPM Home, we have always believed that children deserve spaces in which they can feel safe, grow, learn and imagine their future.
But before a child can fully focus on learning, something much more fundamental needs to be taken care of: food.
That is why LPM Home is proud to support ShareTheMeal, a United Nations World Food Programme initiative, and its work helping provide school meals to children and communities in need.
Why School Meals Matter
Every day, more than 100 million children in low- and lower-middle-income countries go hungry. Millions arrive at school on an empty stomach, making it harder to concentrate, learn and reach their full potential.
For children living through conflict and humanitarian crises, school meals are often much more than food.
They provide stability, encourage school attendance, improve health and create opportunities that can change the course of a child's life.
The Impact
466 million children benefit from school meal programmes globally. 63 countries received support through take-home rations and cash-based transfers in 2025. Up to US$35 in benefits are generated for every US$1 invested in school meal programmes.
